Hey all. So, we have a month's break, and during that time all of you are going to get to continue on in the plot! I've talked with some of you already about some of your ideas. I'll email each of you to continue/start the ideas. I'd love to hear about a) big overarching goals or things you'd like to do and b) what you do for roughly the first 3-4 months after the ritual and your subsequent escape.
I, in turn, will be presenting some posts that include bits of news from the islands that provide both what the world around you is doing (giving you some nice stimuli to react to), as well as reacting to what your characters do during that time. I'm hoping to get up a first post that has reports, posters, etc. from a week or two after the ritual by the end of this week. The next update, which will be after 3-4 months will be posted sometime just after New Year's, as from Christmas to New Year's I am Elsewhere and will have no internets. We'll all keep talking throughout January, and I'll do updates as they seem appropriate as we move through the year and a half.
So! Email me at hgravius@gmail.com with your thoughts about what you're doing and let's get this show on the road.
Also, feel free to blog on here about snippets of your adventures as they play out, or talk in comments in character and the like. Amuse me!
A farcical following of many myriad adventures of a band of travelers in the realm of the Ember Isles. And the players being ridiculous. That too.

What We Fight: Forsaken Shells
The monsters tonight brought to you by OH GOD WHYYYYYYY. Here's the book's description:
A Forsaken Shell is skin ripped from a creature’s body and then animated purposefully or spontaneously by foul magic. The primary motivation of forsaken shells is to propagate their kind, though they also hunt living creatures for sport.
..Pleasant. And if that isn't enough, here, have some images to scar you:

DM Meta: Azan's Five
The story of Princess Azan has been posted to the wiki, under the section "Stories, Histories and Legends", along with the history book segment some of you read a few weeks ago at Spitweed. Would you like me to post things such as this here as well in the future? Let me know, preferably not by speaking through the Staff of Urlu'lululula.

I strum my lute and weave a tale...
There comes a time when a blog that has been sitting unused since its inception must be written upon. For what is a blog without words? Much like a play without scenes, there is nothing to observe until the creator creates, the actor acts, the writer writes. There is a time for beginnings. This is that time.
First, it seems reasonable to introduce the actors in our comedy of errors. They are:
Hannah, as Dungeon Mistress extraordinaire
Sara, as Elae, an elven avenger
Emily, as L'mora, tiefling shaman
Dani, as Aurora, a shape-shifting sorcerer
Andrea, as Gwenn, half-elven bard.
The players introduced, now you may observe the game. A tragedy or comedy? Only through following our journey shall you know. Now listen! The adventure begins.
Pleasant journey, traveler.
